Henry Burt (Hank) Welch passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 30, 2017, from natural causes. He was born on October 19, 1949. Hank graduated from Highland High School in 1968, and he received an economics degree from the University of Utah. He was a research director and was active in two senatorial campaigns as a legislative assistant/policy analyst at both a state and federal level. He was a writer of satirical lyrics. He had a sharp and entertaining wit.
A memorial service was held in Emigration Canyon, one of Hank’s favorite places to be, on September 1, 2017, where his ashes were strewn. Hank was survived by a brother and three sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, close cousins and many friends who loved him dearly.
A very close relative of Henry Welch gave me this information to help me compose this tribute of his life and death. (Liz Kratzer)
