"Ax (David) will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and an ace on the basketball court and on the tennis court. David we love you!!" This is an excerpt from a message sent to all classmates by Bruce McMullin

In Memory to Dave and all Classmates passed.
"Joy and inspiration don't come from comfort. They come from the same place fear does - from confronting something different and larger than ourselves, and not knowing what will happen next. The steps come in a million forms. They happen in our normal life....There's control and letting go, feeling safe and being scared, standing in the known and stepping into the unknown.., through faith and trust, through all those lessons...we will learn to live a full life, wherever that may lead." (Doug Ammons)
Rest in Peace dear Classmates
So sad. Dave was indeed one of the best athletes--BBall and tennis players to ever attend Highland. But he was also one of the nicest people, and the most interested in others--always very kind and genuine. I will greatly miss him. Bryan Gerritsen
