For the past 28 years I have taken tickets to the sports events at the University of Utah. Kathleen and Senator Jake Garn has always made it a point to come through my gate. Kathleen always had a big warm smile and hug for me. I will truly miss her. Roger.
For the past several years, we have been sitting next to Kathleen and Jake at the Utah Basketball games. We knew that she had had a heart "scare" last year, but she thought she was okay, so we were stunned to hear of her passing.
As the obituary mentioned, she was truly open to talk and share with anyone and make them feel like a personal friend. She was an awesome lady, and we will miss her greatly.
Kathleen and I were neighbors and grew up together starting in Kindergarten. She always encouraged me to 'shoot for the moon'. She kept in touch when living in Washington DC and even planning to attend our 50th reunion this September.
Life - so uncertain. Live every day to the fullest. Love you and miss you Kathleen.
